====Discrete Charts====

**Discrete Charts** are the standard way of looking at the [[historical data dashboard|historical]] value of an [[discrete channels|discrete]] [[channels|channel]] in a dashboard [[panels|panel]].

It provides a horizontal bar-graph showing different colours for the various values the discrete value went through during the dashboards time-frame.

==With The Bars==

**Hover** your mouse over a segment of the bar to see the value, start time, end time and duration.

**Left-click** on an piece of the bar to open the [[channel navigation menu|navigation menu]] for that channel. One of the options will be **Zoom In On Time** to zoom in to that specific time-frame.

**Right-click** on the line to open the [[edit menu|editing menu]] for that channel, which is used for moving the channel to different panels.
