====X-Bar-R Chart====

An **X-Bar-R** chart is a chart used in statistical process control, designed to indicate how accurately a value in your process is being controlled.

The chart is one of the several types of [[analytic|analytic report]] you can generate in Data Explorer.

The chart is designed to show when - and by how much - a value has differed from its target value.

===Accessing the Analytic (Easy)===

It is accessible from the [[channel navigation menu|navigation menu]] when you click on a single channel. 

If one of the chosen channels includes the word **target** or **setpoint**, an X-Bar-R chart is created instead of a normal [[Scatter Plot]].

For example, you could...

   * Left-click on a bar-chart of //one// of the values you want to compare,
   * Choose **Compare To...** from the menu,
   * Pick the other value you want to compare from the pop-up list.
