====End Asset====

The **end asset** is the //last// asset in any set of assets you're using in your queries.

For example, in the image below...

The **Inspection Station** is the last place your cupcakes reach, so it is the //End Asset//.

When entering in the Lag values into functions like [[lcq_AddQuery|AddQuery]], the lag [[distance|distance]] you choose is //relative to this end asset//.

===Offset from the End Asset===

Although we encourage you to have a genuine End Asset, it **is** possible to have a 'virtual' End Asset. This comes up on occasions when there are no sources of measurement data at the end of your line.

The only real difference from a scripting side is that when calling **AddQuery**, every asset will have a lag value (where normally the end asset has none).
