Wonderware / eDNA Driver

This driver allows ARDI to communicate with the Wonderware / Citect historian eDNA

The driver offers very good performance access to both live and historical information.

eDNA is a good choice due to it’s relatively fast historical access when requesting large volumes of data, although the API is currently not optimised for fetching large volumes of history – playback is slightly slower than some competing historians.

This driver is able to accept point addresses as either eDNA long point IDs, or as CHaD addresses.

Due to the fact that the eDNA API is only available as a Windows DLL, this driver will only run on Windows-based operating systems.

While it is possible to use this driver with a Linux-based ARDI server, you will need a Windows-based machine to act as a remote data source.
