Scan Modes
ARDI-AR supports a number of scan modes, which change what you see when you look at your markers.
You can adjust which mode is currently active from the Options.
Detail Mode
The standard mode is Detail, which shows you a great deal of information about your assets.
It creates a scrollable list that contains…
- The name of the asset
- The full location hierarchy of the asset
- Any tag numbers, URLs and text records related to the asset
- Measurements
- Links
Note that measurements are listed in the following order…
- Measurements made at the asset
- Measurements related to the asset
- Measurements being made of the asset
- Measurements flowing from upstream assets
If you have scanned an item that doesn't include any measurements but it has items within it that do, then you'll be presented with those measurements instead, or a list of the items contained within the asset you're looking at.
Touching the 'Pin' icon next to a measurement will pin it, while pressing the 'Info' icon will open the ARDI website so you can trend the value or view its history.
These icons are only available if the property is linked to live or historical data.
There are also three buttons to the side of the Detail panel. The first brings up the list of assets related to this one. The second brings up a list of media items (documentation) associated with the asset, and the third opens the web dashboard for the asset.
Identification Mode
This mode is used to verify what items are without giving any extra information. If you'd like to confirm the name and description of items in the field, this is a quick and easy way of doing so and works well when you have many different markers in view.
Marker ID Mode
Marker ID mode is mostly used during ARDI installation to confirm the identity of the markers you are placing in the field. It is also useful for diagnostics - for example, to see if a damaged tag is still reading correctly.
