Multiple-Client Signin
The ARDI collaboration system allows a single user to sign in to the system from multiple different clients.
For example, a single user named Dave may be signed into ARDI collaboration from ARDI-VE, ARDI-AR and on the web.
This makes the user easier to contact, but also has some other distinct advantages….
- Items that Dave shares with himself are automatically accepted by clients such as ARDI-AR and ARDI-VE. This means that if Dave is using the web interface and shares an asset with himself, his current session in ARDI-VE will automatically focus on that asset.
- Some client settings can persist between devices. For example, if Dave saves a camera in ARDI-VE on computer A, the camera will be also available when they move to computer B.
- Some features can persist across clients. For example, this means that different clients, such as ARDI-AR and ARDI-VE, will provide a synchronised pin list. When he opens ARDI-VE or ARDI-AR, he will see exactly the same items that he was watching with pins on the web, and vice-versa.
Note that the username must match exactly - the system considers “Dave” and “Dave ” (with an additional space at the end) to be completely different users.
