End Asset
The end asset is the last asset in any set of assets you're using in your queries.
For example, in the image below…
The Inspection Station is the last place your cupcakes reach, so it is the End Asset.
When entering in the Lag values into functions like AddQuery, the lag distance you choose is relative to this end asset.
Offset from the End Asset
Although we encourage you to have a genuine End Asset, it is possible to have a 'virtual' End Asset. This comes up on occasions when there are no sources of measurement data at the end of your line.
The only real difference from a scripting side is that when calling AddQuery, every asset will have a lag value (where normally the end asset has none).
