Connecting Properties to Data

Setting up a data binding is a simple process - although if you are looking at connecting a large number of properties to external information, we suggest importing them.

1) Search for the asset that contains the property you want to bind.

2) Enter the details page for the asset and find the property.

3) Press the 'link' button to the right of the property.

4) Pick the data source from the drop-list

5) Fill in the details of the data point (the exact layout of this section will change based on the needs of the data source. Low-level sources such as MODBUS require quite a bit of information, while higher-level sources tend to just need a name).

6) Repeat for history and other contexts
