Statuses
Statuses are a type of property.
They are usually used to represent an digital (ie. always '1' or '0') signal coming in from the field, but they can be used to store any data with only two possible states.
Statuses are an example of a complex property, in that the value is actually made up of several attributes…
Node | Description | Example |
---|---|---|
State | The actual digital value - 0 or 1 | 0 |
Zero | The text to display when the value is zero | Off |
One | The text to display when the value is one | On |
Choosing a Colour
For AR and VE, colours can be used to give a visual representation of the meaning of the status. We usually suggest using greens for 'good' statuses, reds for 'bad'.
You can choose the colours for each possible value by clicking on the camera icon on the Properties Administration page. This will take you to the Discrete Property Appearance page.
